Lynx Mythologies are existential contemplations and a character development arc in visual form. The Lynx’s journey across the collections accompanies viewers through their own personal transitions, whether they draw on psychological, philosophical, or spiritual concepts.
My work explores surreal symbolic imagery where inner landscapes take form through recurring archetypal figures and personal mythology. The two collections, jointly named Lynx Mythologies, that I have developed over the past two years comprise an evolving body of paintings. The mythologies follow the emergence of a personal symbol of the inner child—the Lynx.
With a Master’s in Neuroscience, I approach artistic creation through cognitive, psychological, and symbolic perspectives, exploring how perception, memory, and personal experience shape the symbols within the collections. The works I create, while introducing specific symbolic narratives at distinct stages, leave enough ambiguity to allow people to project their own meanings onto the imagery.
